ViewSonic VA2626wm
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.0 (3.0 stars)
ViewSonic VA2626wm Reviewed on 09/09/2008

The Bottom Line: The ViewSonic VA2626 is a basic 26-inch LCD that has neither the features nor performance to merit a recommendation. You can find better monitors for less.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 26 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200, 5 ms

Samsung 2693HM
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.9 (3.0 stars)
Samsung 2693HM Reviewed on 09/08/2008

The Bottom Line: The Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM proved itself to be an excellent overall performer, particularly during movie playback, and can be had for a fair price. Only a flimsy stand, an overcalibrated color-temperature setting, and a poor lower viewing angle prevent a higher recommendation for this 25.5-inch LCD.

Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.0 (3.5 stars)
Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP Reviewed on 08/25/2008

The Bottom Line: If you're willing to pay the price for beautiful looks and loads of connection options in a 30-inch LCD monitor, you'll like what you get with the Dell 3008WFP. You may be less enthused with this display, however, after experiencing its lackluster color performance and low black levels when watching movies.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 30 in - Widescreen, 2560 x 1600 / 60 Hz, 0.2505 mm, 8 ms

NEC AccuSync LCD22WMGX (22-inch) Reviewed on 08/04/2008

Acer P241W
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.8 (3.0 stars)
  • User rating: 3 stars out of 10 reviews
Acer P241W Reviewed on 07/22/2008

The Bottom Line: High brightness and a low price make the 24-inch Acer P241w immediately appealing, as does its unique bezel design, but we found its brightness came at the expense of deep colors and blacks. There's another low-cost 24-inch LCD we prefer.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200, 0.27 mm, 2 ms

BenQ V2400W
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.4 (3.5 stars)
BenQ V2400W Reviewed on 07/01/2008

The Bottom Line: With its offset neck and thin chassis, the BenQ V2400W presents a unique look. In addition to the sleek design, its low price and strong performance earn this 24-inch LCD our recommendation for home or office use.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200, 0.27 mm, 5 ms

V7 D24W33

V7 D24W33 Reviewed on 06/19/2008

The Bottom Line: Its video connections and viewing angles are limited, but the V7 D24W33 is about the cheapest 24-inch LCD monitor you'll find and proved itself to be a solid overall performer.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200 / 60 Hz, 0.27 mm, 2 ms

      Overall score: 8.1 (4.0 stars)
Gateway XHD3000 Monitor (30-inch) Editors' choice Reviewed on 05/28/2008

The Bottom Line: Although it costs more than competing 30-inch LCDs, the Gateway XHD3000 goes a long way toward justifying its high price with a long list of features and outstanding performance.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 30 in - Widescreen, 2560 x 1600, 0.251 mm, 6 ms

Samsung SyncMaster 305T LCD Monitor
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.7 (3.5 stars)
  • User rating: 2h stars out of 4 reviews
Samsung SyncMaster 305T LCD Monitor Reviewed on 05/21/2008

The Bottom Line: Thanks to its incredible viewing angle, high resolution, and stellar overall picture quality, Samsung's 30-inch SyncMaster 305T gets an assured recommendation.

Samsung SyncMaster T220
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.0 (3.5 stars)
  • User rating: 3 stars out of 5 reviews
Samsung SyncMaster T220 Reviewed on 05/12/2008

The Bottom Line: The Samsung T220 might be the most stylish LCD monitor we've seen, but average feature set and performance diminish its overall appeal. Despite its flashy looks, it's best used as a simple, productivity display.
